Day two of my blog.
In thinking about the day ahead, it occurs to me that I will see all of the people who first encouraged me to start my business and enabled me to do so.
First, the sacred "Friday Morning Coffee" with my longest, best friends in Falls Church. We have been having coffee on Friday mornings during the school year for around 10 years. I have known Jill, Tracy, and Ilka since our children were babies. We have been through quite a lot together, and I couldn't make it without them. A few years ago, we went on a 40th birthday Girls Cooking/Wine Tasting Weekend at a bed and breakfast, and I took some of the jewelry that I had made for them to see. They liked it and said I should should sell it somehow.
Which brings me to the next part of my day today. Lunch with Ellen. She is the library director at the law firm where I was working part time when I started making jewelry. She is still one of my best customers! I remind her that it's partly her fault that I don't work for her anymore. But she is still paying me for something!
Last, spending the evening with my family. My husband, Peter, is extremely supportive, and so are our daughters. Madison is 13, and Lillian is 11, and they are my best cheerleaders.
So it is a day to be thankful, and appreciate those that I love the most.
Thank you, everyone!
